Kevin Konarzewski: Team Building Tips



Kevin Konarzewski is a distinguished professional and entrepreneur serving in the supply chain management sector. Kevin Konarzewski is a 1997 graduate of Michigan State University where he received his master’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. Immediately following graduation Kevin Konarzewski was offered a position at IBM as the Value Chain Transformation Manager. After serving at IBM for nine years Kevin Konarzewski went on to accept a position as Materials Manager at Honeywell Aerospace. Kevin Konarzewski actively paved his way through the industry and was offered the Demand Planning Manager position at Teleflex due to his superior skills and knowledge.

Although all of Kevin Konarzewski’s jobs had different functions the one thing they had in common was the need for team building. Here Kevin Konarzewski offers tips on how to successfully build a team in any situation.

·        Be clear about your expectations. Kevin Konarzewski notes that it is important to actively communicate with your team what the final goal is. How is everyone supposed to work together if they do not know what they are working towards?
·        Present the context. Kevin Konarzewski states that it is important to convey to each team member why they are participating in the group. Kevin Konarzewski notes that leaders should communicate each member’s strategic purpose and how they can work towards the final goal.
Commitment. Kevin Konarzewski states the most important part of team building is to form a sense of commitment within the group. To do this, leaders should make members feel valuable, excited, and challenged.
